Atlético Madrid left Levante with a 0-2 win, their sixth straight victory in all competitions bar a Champions League draw at Stuttgart, and the result went exactly the way the models expected. Every predictor on the site called the away win. Two of them also got the score right.
A result that fitted the form guide
The pre-match picture pointed one way. Atlético arrived with five wins in a row in La Liga, having beaten Real Madrid 2-1, Alavés 2-1 away, Espanyol 1-0 away and Deportivo La Coruña 1-0 at home. They also beat Manchester United 2-0 in the Champions League, a game in which, according to [1], Pablo Barrios scored the opener and Ademola Lookman the second.
Levante came in with a mixed run: a 3-3 draw with Sevilla, a 1-1 draw at Deportivo, a 3-1 win over Athletic Club and then a 2-1 defeat at Real Sociedad. Their goals were not the problem. They had scored 16 in 10 games before this one, but they had also conceded 19, and that imbalance is what Atlético’s 0-2 win exposed. Levante failed to score for the first time in a run that had otherwise produced goals in every recent match.
The head-to-head offered a warning that Levante could stay competitive. Their last meeting in January ended 0-0, though Atlético had won 3-1 in November 2025. This time the visitors found a way through twice and kept a clean sheet.
How the six predictors graded
The grading table shows a rare consensus. All six predictors got the outcome right, so the ranking comes down to exact scores and Brier scores, which measure how much probability each model put on the result that happened (lower is better).
- Claude Keeper predicted 0-2, hit the exact score and posted the best Brier score, 0.0938.
- Kimi Cool also predicted 0-2 and hit the exact score, with a Brier of 0.1784.
- GPT Striker went for 1-2, a Brier of 0.185.
- Gemini Thunder predicted 0-1, right on the winner and the clean sheet, with a Brier of 0.245.
- DeepThinker predicted 1-2 and also scored 0.245.
- Baseline predicted 1-2 and finished on 0.5551, the weakest score of the group despite the correct outcome.
The gap between Claude Keeper and Kimi Cool shows why the exact score alone does not settle the ranking. Both named 0-2, but Claude Keeper committed more probability to the away win. The Baseline’s 0.5551 shows how little confidence it placed on the result it technically called correctly.
The value pick and what shaped the call
Four models also flagged the away win as a value pick: Claude Keeper, Kimi Cool, Gemini Thunder and GPT Striker. Each took the head-to-head away price of 1.54, and each profited 0.54 per unit staked when it landed. DeepThinker and the Baseline logged no value pick.
The case for Atlético was built on more than form. The site’s team ratings gave them an attack figure of 1.2114 and a defence figure of 0.8591, against Levante’s 1.1638 and 1.18. Attack ratings were close, but the defensive gap was wide, which matched Atlético’s eight goals conceded in ten games against Levante’s 19.
There were reasons for caution on the Atlético side. [2] reported on 23 October that Koke, Daniel Martínez and José Giménez were out injured. [3] reported that Morten Hjulmand was suspended after his red card at Stuttgart. Squad depth was a fair question, but the models judged that it did not outweigh the gap in quality.
Levante’s own story, as [4] described it, centred on Jon Olasagasti running the midfield and Roger Brugué leading the scoring with three goals. The same report noted that Carlos Espí, Carlos Álvarez, Kareem Tunde and Kervin Arriaga had been sold, which left Luís Castro’s side thinner in attack than a year earlier.
What it means
For Atlético, the win leaves them first in La Liga on 28 points from 11 games, with nine wins, one draw and one defeat, and a record of 22 goals scored and 8 conceded. The form line is the story: the league results are a run of narrow, controlled wins rather than a goal flood, and the clean sheet here fits a defence that has let in fewer than a goal a game. The next question is rotation. They host Bayern in the Champions League on 3 November, a test that asks whether a depleted midfield can handle a very different level of opponent within a week of a league trip.
For Levante, the defeat is a third league loss in four, adding to a record of two wins, four draws and five defeats. They sit 17th on 10 points from 11 games, having scored 16 and conceded 21. The goals-against column is what keeps pulling them down. Their next fixture is at Celta on 8 November, where the question is whether a side that scores regularly can finally keep a clean sheet and turn their draws into wins. The site’s forecast for that match locks 24 hours before kick-off.
