The result and the grades
Sevilla FC beat CA Osasuna 2-0, a home win that every forecaster on the site had backed. Claude Keeper, Kimi Cool, Gemini Thunder, GPT Striker, DeepThinker and the Baseline all predicted a 2-1 home win. All six therefore got the outcome right and all six missed the exact score, because Osasuna did not score.
The Brier scores separate them. The Baseline was sharpest at 0.2748, meaning it put the most probability on the right result. Among the models, GPT Striker led on 0.305, followed by Claude Keeper (0.3314), Kimi Cool (0.3464), Gemini Thunder (0.3768) and DeepThinker (0.38). A lower Brier is better. Identical scorelines can still hide different confidence levels, and here the spread between best and worst model was about 0.075.
Five of the six entries also carried a value pick on the home win at odds of 1.91. All five hit, each returning a profit of 0.91 per unit staked. The Baseline carried no value pick. It is a tidy day for the grading table, but a single match says little about long-run quality.
Sevilla’s season so far
Sevilla arrived with mixed form. The table before kick-off showed them sixth with 14 points from nine games, and the recent run read L, D, L, W, W. The previous two outings had been a 1-4 defeat away at Real Madrid and a 3-3 draw at Levante, so keeping a clean sheet was a clear improvement on a side that had conceded 16 goals in its first nine.
This is also a rebuilt squad. [1] listed Jon Guridi, Giorgi Kochorashvili, Sangante and Juan Iglesias among the signings. [2] confirmed Youssouf Fofana joined on loan from Milan, and [3] reported an agreement with Lille for a loan with an option to buy Félix Correia.
Fran Gonzalez, another recent arrival, was reported fit after playing the full match against Aston Villa, according to [4]. A new group needs time to settle, and a 2-0 result at home is the kind of platform that helps.
Osasuna’s problems
Osasuna came in 12th with 11 points from nine games, form WLDLL, and a goal difference of 10 scored against 18 conceded. Their defence had been the weak point. They lost 0-4 at Atlético de Madrid, 0-2 at home to Espanyol and 2-5 at Real Betis, so shipping goals was a pattern before this game.
Availability was another worry. [5] listed Raúl Moro, Kike Barja, Aimar Oroz, Romain Del Castillo and Jorge Herrando as unavailable ahead of the Betis match on 11 October. That list predates this game, so it shows the depth problem rather than the exact absentees at Sevilla.
There had been a lift in the previous outing, a 2-0 home win over Racing de Santander. [6] noted that Ante Budimir scored a penalty inside ten minutes, Asier Osambela scored after coming on, and Iñigo Arguibide assisted after a long run. Arguibide had also [7]. Head to head, Osasuna won 2-1 in April 2026, and Sevilla won 1-0 in November 2025.
What it means
The win lifts Sevilla to 17 points from 10 games, a record of W5 D2 L3 with 16 goals for and 16 against, still sixth in La Liga. The recent form line now reads W, L, D, L, W, with a clean sheet to offset the heavy concession at the Bernabéu. Their next task is Getafe away on 1 November. The site’s forecast for that match locks 24 hours before kick-off, so no call is made here.
For Osasuna the defeat leaves them 12th on 11 points from 10 games, with W3 D2 L5 and a goal difference of 10 for and 20 against. They have conceded 20 goals, an average of two a game, and scored in only one of their last three away matches. Their next fixture is Deportivo on 2 November, and it asks whether they can keep a clean sheet away from home, something that has been rare. The forecast for that game also locks 24 hours before kick-off.
For the models, a unanimous 2-1 call showed agreement on the winner and a shared miss on the margin. The next round will show whether any of them can separate itself with a sharper scoreline.
